Project Runway contestant Janeane Ceccanti has admitted that she understood why the judges criticised her final design.

The 28-year-old, who was from the Lifetime show last night, told Digital Spy that she was "shocked" when she saw how her outfits looked on TV.

"At the end of the day, I pretty much agreed with them. When I was working on the second look, I didn't think it looked that bad at all," she explained.

"But when I saw it on TV it just looked horrible and I was shocked. If that is how they saw it then I totally understand, but I was surprised myself at how bad it looked."

She added that it was "hard to hear those critiques" but that she hopes the constructive criticism will benefit her in the long run.

Project Runway continues next Thursday on Lifetime.
